Khaled Al-Qershali
An ambitious Palestinian writer from the besieged Gaza. He studies literature and English language at the Islamic University of Gaza. Khaled was a student of Dr. Refaat Alareer, whom Israel killed. Israel also killed Khaled’s best friends, Mohammed Hamo and Abdallah Al-Khaldi. For Khaled, writing can be used as a tool to resist the occupation. He has contributed to We Are Not Numbers, Baladi Magazine, The Electronic Intifada, and Palestine Nexus.
Khaled’s zine Echoes of Survival is almost ready to launch. Here’s a sneak peek at the cover.
For Khaled, writing can be used as a tool to resist the occupation.
“I write because these stories must live. By reading them, you carry part of Gaza’s story with you. By sharing them, you affirm that behind every statistic is a human soul, a memory, a dream cut short by bombs.”—inner pages
His favourite hobbies are playing computer games and swimming.
