The City's Memory
A poetic recollection of Gaza’s living inheritance, shared and multiplied among its inhabitants. The memories of the author, although personal, are testimonies of the city, the land, the people, the persistence of a place that refuses to be erased. Sights and sounds, the day-to-day rituals of people, are proof that Gaza lives.
Editions: English, German.
Message to the Reader
This zine is born out of memory, rubble, and the fragility of survival. It is an attempt to archive Gaza beyond statistics and headlines — to preserve the voices, streets, and intimate details of a city under erasure. As a writer and survivor, I collect fragments of what war tries to silence: the neighbor calling from a window, the smell of morning coffee, the echo of schools, the cracks of the pavement. This zine is not only about loss, but also about the persistence of life and the refusal to be forgotten.
