Congratulations to authors Samah Zaqout, Lama Alharazin, Ahmed Sarsour, and Shams Mazen Rajab on the release of this selection of zines, born in the summer to shed light on the situation in Gaza.
As these zines came into the world and the genocide reached 1000 days of massacres and destruction, FIFA seamlessly created the illusion of a global community and wellbeing. Fans decried the losses and fouls with a remorse not offered to the victims of war crimes. We were not distracted. We kept working, intent to champion the courageous works of these talented young authors whose hearts have been tested to the absolute limit. We know the world can scream and cry, FIFA has proven it, so why the silence for Gaza?
