An edgy, 20-page zine with a strong visual narrative to match the author’s reflections on life inside Gaza after annihilation. When nothing remains, where might a person’s roots cling? The answer: your empathy, dear Reader. Here is a voice from the future.
Editions: English, German, Arabic, and Slovenian.
Message to the Reader
The war has stolen so much from us, but it could not steal our humanity. And if even one heart in this world is capable of empathy, perhaps there is still a chance for life.

Words of Recommendation
Writing from inside a desolation that the ceasefire did not end, Ahmed tracks the inner landscape of someone for whom happiness and sadness have become identical, and for whom the future was not merely postponed but destroyed. The zine's power comes from its honesty about emptiness. Moving beyond resilience and hope, it offers the determination to go on writing, if only to remind himself that he is still human. This is a necessary document.—Rebecca Ruth Gould
