What do libraries hold beyond books?
For many people in Gaza, libraries have been places of learning, memory, imagination, community, and hope.
They have offered quiet moments of refuge, spaces to dream, and reminders that knowledge continues to exist even in the hardest times.
In this workshop, we’ll reflect on the meaning of libraries through stories, conversation, and gentle writing exercises. We’ll also explore the painful loss caused by the destruction of Gaza’s libraries, and how these spaces continue to live on in memory and in the people whose lives they shaped.
No previous writing experience is needed, and sharing is always optional.
