For Women in Translation Month (#WiTMonth), author Taqwa Ahmed Alwawi wrote a piece for ArabLit & ArabLit Quarterly on the importance of online learning opportunities for Palestinians in Gaza.
She reflects on her first online picture book workshop, led by children's book author and editor Leila Boukarim, which forged friendships and evolved into Coastal Lines Press: Zines from Gaza.
"What began as a small collaborative effort to produce a handful of zines gradually grew into the idea of building a dedicated platform where Palestinian voices could be published, translated, and shared with readers around the world."
