Author Submissions Are Open
Join the Collective
Over the past few months, Coastal Lines Press has been working hard behind the scenes: restructuring our team, welcoming new volunteers and building the capacity needed to give every project the care it deserves.
We are now ready to accept new submissions again. We can’t wait to read your stories and share your voices!
While submissions were closed we received a number of messages from authors in Gaza, asking how they could join the collective. Forgive us if you did not receive a direct reply. At the time, we had little information to share.
About the Form
Our submission form is now bilingual and comprehensive, giving prospective authors more capability to communicate about their work and background. Answers can be written in English and Arabic.
You can find the link here, in the About section of our website, and in our Instagram bio.
About the Process
Following your submission, it may take several weeks for a member of the author committee to contact you to set up an interview. In the interview, the author committee will ask questions about you and your work and inform you about zines, zine production, and how the fundraising structure works. Acceptance or rejection of your submission will be communicated to you following your interview.
What We Publish
We are interested in original literature, written in English or Arabic. Translation can be provided. We are interested in poems, personal essays, narrative/news articles, comics, and short stories. Basically, anything that can fit into a zine.
